OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch date of its upcoming smartphone, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra, which will debut in China on April 28, 2026. The device will be introduced as part of the Ace 6 lineup and will be accompanied by a new gaming accessory designed to enhance mobile gameplay.
The company also plans to unveil the OnePlus Strix Gaming Controller during the same event. This controller is designed to attach to the back of the smartphone, transforming it into a handheld gaming device. It will support additional modular accessories, including an external cooling fan that connects via USB Type C for improved thermal performance during extended gaming sessions.
The gaming controller features a unique ergonomic design with rear mounted triggers for index fingers and additional buttons positioned for middle finger use. It is built to deliver a responsive gaming experience with a high polling rate and extremely low trigger latency, ensuring smoother and faster gameplay.
In terms of design, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra is expected to feature a modern look with a square shaped rear camera module housing dual sensors and an LED flash. The smartphone will be available in at least one black color variant and is said to include a distinctive textured finish on the back panel.
While full specifications have not yet been revealed, the device is already available for pre booking through official online platforms in China. The chipset and other performance details are expected to be announced during the launch event.
With this release, OnePlus is clearly targeting mobile gamers by combining powerful hardware with dedicated gaming accessories, aiming to deliver a console like experience on smartphones.
