Authentic Chicken Kanti Recipe – Flavorful and Easy to Make at Home

Chicken Kanti is a rich and flavorful dish that brings together aromatic spices, tender chicken, and a medley of vegetables for a delightful culinary experience. Perfect for lunch or dinner, this recipe combines nostalgia with the joy of home-cooked meals, making every bite unforgettable.

Ingredients (Serves 2, Medium Spicy)

  • 1000 gms boneless chicken
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tsp degi mirchi (divided)
  • 3 onions, sliced
  • 1 green capsicum, chopped
  • 4 green chilies
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp chicken masala
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped

Method

  1. Marinate the chicken with ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, salt, lemon juice, and 1 tsp degi mirchi. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Deep fry the marinated chicken until golden brown and fully cooked. Set aside.
  3. In a pan, sauté onions until soft, then add green chilies, tomatoes, tomato ketchup, and green capsicum. Cook the mixture until the masala is well blended.
  4. Add the fried chicken into the cooked masala and simmer for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with naan bread or rice.
