Brad Pitt’s F1 The Movie Speeds Past $100 Million Mark Becoming Apple Studios’ Biggest Box Office Hit Yet

Date:

Brad Pitt’s latest Formula 1 drama is racing ahead at the box office. F1 The Movie, directed by Joseph Kosinski of Top Gun: Maverick fame, has officially surpassed $100 million in domestic ticket sales, marking a major milestone for both Brad Pitt’s filmography and Apple Studios’ theatrical efforts.

After debuting in US theatres on June 27 with an impressive $57 million opening — the largest ever for an Apple Studios release — the film has continued its winning streak. By this weekend, industry reports estimate F1 The Movie will reach a domestic total of around $109 million, positioning it among the top ten releases of 2025 so far.

This record-breaking run makes F1 The Movie Brad Pitt’s 12th highest-grossing movie in the US, climbing past more than 36 of his previous box office projects, including fan favourites like Se7en, Interview with the Vampire, and Moneyball. At its current pace, the high-octane sports drama is expected to close in on Inglourious Basterds, which earned just over $120 million domestically.

The Formula 1 film’s success has also cemented Apple Studios as a serious contender in the theatrical market, proving that audiences are still turning up for star-powered, adrenaline-fueled drama on the big screen.

The European premiere took place in London on June 23, drawing crowds as Brad Pitt posed on the red carpet, celebrating what is now a significant career highlight for the Oscar-winning actor and producer. As the buzz continues, all eyes are on whether F1 The Movie will keep overtaking more titles in Brad Pitt’s all-time box office rankings.
