The first recommendation is Salmon, particularly wild-caught varieties. Rich in omega-3 fatty acids like EPA and DHA, salmon helps reduce triglyceride levels, supports arterial flexibility, and lowers inflammation in blood vessels. Including it in meals a couple of times per week can provide strong heart-protective benefits.

Next is Extra virgin olive oil, a key component of Mediterranean-style diets. Regular use of this oil, whether in cooking or as a dressing, is linked to improved cardiovascular health due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Another powerful addition is Blueberries. These small berries are packed with anthocyanins, compounds known to help lower blood pressure, reduce oxidative stress, and improve the function of blood vessels. Their regular consumption can ease strain on the heart.

The expert also emphasizes daily intake of Dark leafy greens such as spinach and arugula. These vegetables are rich in nitrates, which the body converts into nitric oxide. This process helps relax blood vessels, improve circulation, and regulate blood pressure naturally.

Finally, Eggs make the list despite past debates around cholesterol. Eggs are a high-quality protein source and contain choline, which supports both brain and metabolic health. When consumed in moderation, they can be part of a balanced, heart-friendly diet.
