Honor Power 2 Leak Reveals Massive Battery and New MediaTek Chip Ahead of Expected Launch

Date:

Honor appears to be gearing up for the launch of its next big mid-range smartphone, the Honor Power 2, as fresh leaks reveal key details about its chipset, display, camera, and battery. The upcoming device is expected to debut in China in January 2026 and could bring a major upgrade over its predecessor, especially in terms of battery capacity and charging speed.

According to industry tipster reports, the Honor Power 2 may feature a large 6.79-inch flat LTPS display with a sharp 1.5K resolution of 1200 × 2640 pixels. Unlike the original Honor Power, which runs on a Snapdragon processor, the new model is tipped to be powered by the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset, positioning it firmly in the competitive mid-range segment.

One of the biggest highlights of the Honor Power 2 is its rumoured 10,080mAh battery, which could make it one of the largest battery smartphones in its category. The device is also said to support 80W wired fast charging, offering quicker top-ups despite the massive battery size. For photography, the handset may include a 50-megapixel rear camera paired with a 16-megapixel front-facing shooter for selfies and video calls.

Leaks further suggest that the Honor Power 2 will be available in three colour options: Snow White, Midnight Black, and Sunrise Orange. While Honor has not officially confirmed the smartphone or its specifications yet, the leaked details point towards a significant evolution from the original Honor Power, which launched with an 8,000mAh battery and 66W fast charging.

If these reports turn out to be accurate, the Honor Power 2 could become a strong contender for users seeking long battery life, fast charging, and a large high-resolution display in a mid-range smartphone.
