Moto X70 Air Pro Expected to Launch in China Soon with Periscope Camera and Snapdragon Chipset

Date:

Motorola is preparing to unveil the Moto X70 Air Pro, an upgraded version of its slim Moto X70 Air smartphone, in China. Official teasers highlight enhanced AI capabilities and a more powerful design, positioning the device as a premium alternative to the existing model. The Pro variant is expected to debut in January and could launch globally under the Motorola Edge 70 Pro name. Early leaks indicate that the device will feature a triple rear camera setup including a periscope telephoto lens for improved zoom performance and AI-assisted photography.

Regulatory listings suggest the Moto X70 Air Pro will support faster charging than its predecessor, with up to 90W wired fast charging compared to the 67W supported by the standard X70 Air. The certification hints at a larger battery, though exact capacity details remain undisclosed. Performance upgrades are also expected, with Geekbench listings indicating the use of a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 5 processor. There are also rumors that Motorola may introduce a higher-end variant with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset under the Edge or Signature branding.

The original Moto X70 Air was launched in October as a sleek smartphone competing with other ultra-thin models like the iPhone Air. The new Pro version continues the same form factor while promising faster charging, improved performance, and an AI-focused camera experience. Fans can anticipate more details on specifications and availability as the official launch approaches, with the Moto X70 Air Pro set to target both domestic and international markets.
