Oppo is preparing to launch its next flagship smartphone, the Find X9 Ultra, with a strong focus on advanced photography capabilities. The company has confirmed that the device will feature a powerful 10x optical zoom camera system developed in collaboration with Hasselblad, aiming to deliver high-quality long-range photography without relying heavily on external accessories.
At the core of the camera setup is a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor offering a 230mm focal length and enhanced stabilization through gimbal-level optical image stabilisation. This built-in system is designed to handle most real-world photography scenarios including distant subjects action shots and portrait captures while maintaining accurate colour tones inspired by Hasselblad technology.
According to company insights the integrated telephoto camera is capable of covering nearly all everyday shooting needs ensuring users can quickly capture moments without additional equipment. It also supports near-optical image quality even at extended zoom levels reaching up to 20x.
For photography enthusiasts and professionals Oppo is also introducing a dedicated external telephoto lens kit. This advanced add-on includes a sophisticated optical structure built with 16 precision elements to improve light capture clarity and zoom performance. The module features a durable metal construction aligned with professional camera standards and is designed to integrate seamlessly with the smartphone.
The external lens system works alongside the phone’s internal 3x telephoto camera which uses a larger sensor to further enhance image output. Together this hybrid setup aims to deliver a complete imaging experience combining convenience with professional-grade performance.
In addition to its camera innovations the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is expected to come equipped with flagship-level specifications. Reports suggest it may feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage running on Android 16.
The device is also likely to include a massive battery exceeding 7000mAh with support for fast charging technologies including 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. On the display front it is expected to offer a large 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with 2K resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate.
Other camera features could include dual high-resolution sensors a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a high-quality front camera for selfies and video calls.
With its innovative approach to combining internal and external optics Oppo is aiming to push smartphone photography to new heights making the Find X9 Ultra one of the most anticipated flagship releases of 2026.
