Vivo V60 5G Set to Launch in India on August 12 After Receiving NBTC Certification

Date:

The highly anticipated Vivo V60 5G smartphone is officially scheduled to debut in India on August 12 at 12 PM IST. Ahead of its launch, the smartphone has been listed on Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) website, bearing the model number V2511. This certification suggests the imminent global rollout of the device and confirms support for 5G connectivity across GSM WCDMA LTE and NR networks.

Although the NBTC listing doesn’t disclose detailed specifications, it confirms that the Vivo V60 is manufactured in China and adds to the mounting evidence of its international release. The phone had earlier appeared on certification sites such as SRIM TRDA and TUV, further pointing to its readiness for a broader launch.

In terms of features, the Vivo V60 is confirmed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. The device will run on the latest Android 15-based FuntouchOS 15 and will be available in three stylish colours – Auspicious Gold Mist Grey and Moonlit Blue. A standout feature of the Vivo V60 is its massive 6,500mAh battery, providing extended usage and supported by an expected 90W fast charging system.

Photography enthusiasts can look forward to a Zeiss-branded triple rear camera setup, which includes a 50MP telephoto lens capable of up to 10x zoom. The smartphone is also likely to feature a 50MP front-facing camera for high-quality selfies. Other expected specs include a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Additional highlights include stereo speakers an in-display fingerprint scanner and IP68/IP69 certification for water and dust resistance.

The Vivo V60 is expected to be priced between ₹37,000 and ₹40,000 in India, aligning with previous reports. The device may resemble the Vivo S30 launched in China in terms of design and internal features.
