The upcoming HMD Vibe 2 5G has been officially teased ahead of its India debut, with early details hinting at design upgrades and improved features. The company has confirmed that the device will be available soon, with its release expected in May 2026.
A dedicated teaser page confirms that the HMD Vibe 2 5G will be sold through Flipkart, indicating strong online availability for Indian consumers. The preview also reveals that the smartphone will feature a flat display with a centrally placed hole punch cutout, likely housing the front camera for selfies and video calls.
While complete specifications are yet to be announced, the new model will succeed the HMD Vibe 5G, which launched in 2025. Based on its predecessor, the upcoming device is expected to offer competitive hardware in the budget segment.
The earlier HMD Vibe 5G featured a 6.67 inch HD plus LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate delivering smooth visuals. It was powered by a Unisoc T760 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage expandable via microSD card. The device also ran on Android 15 and came with regular security updates.
In terms of photography, the previous model included a dual rear camera setup led by a 50 megapixel main sensor along with a secondary depth sensor while the front camera offered 8 megapixels for selfies. The handset was backed by a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and included a side mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
Although the company has not revealed the full feature list of the HMD Vibe 2 5G, expectations suggest improvements in performance camera capabilities and overall user experience. More details including pricing and exact launch date are expected to be announced soon.
