A new budget smartphone from Realme is reportedly on its way to the Indian market, with fresh leaks revealing key specifications and features ahead of an official announcement. The upcoming device, expected to be named the Realme C81, is likely to focus on battery life and everyday usability rather than high-end performance.
According to recent reports, the handset could be offered in two storage variants including 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 4GB RAM with 128GB storage. In terms of design, the device is expected to arrive in Glacier Blue and Storm Black colour options, catering to users who prefer simple and modern aesthetics.
The leaked model number RMX5388 suggests a strong connection with the Realme Note 80, indicating that the Realme C81 may be a rebranded version of this model for the Indian market. This approach aligns with Realme’s previous strategy of launching similar devices under different names across regions.
If the specifications are carried over, the Realme C81 could feature a 6.74 inch HD plus LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and brightness levels reaching up to 563 nits. The device is also expected to be powered by the Unisoc T7250 processor paired with 4GB RAM and run on Android 15 based Realme UI.
Battery performance appears to be one of the highlights, with the smartphone likely to include a large 6300mAh battery supported by 15W charging. Additionally, the phone may come with MIL STD 810H certification for improved durability making it more resistant to everyday wear and tear.
For photography, the device is expected to feature an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera suitable for basic photography and video calls.
While the company has not officially confirmed the launch date yet, these leaks strongly indicate that the Realme C81 could debut in India soon as an affordable option for users seeking long battery life and essential features.
