Mangoes such as Alphonso Kesar and Banganapalli are ideal for this recipe because of their natural sweetness and rich flavour. These varieties blend easily, creating a thick and creamy texture while providing essential nutrients like vitamin C vitamin A and antioxidants. Since mango itself is naturally sweet, there is little need for additional sweeteners.

Instead of sugar, this recipe uses dates honey or a small amount of jaggery to enhance sweetness in a more natural way. Fresh curd or Greek yogurt adds protein and beneficial probiotics that may support digestion and overall gut health making this drink a more wholesome option compared to sugary beverages.

Ingredients
1 large ripe mango chopped
1 cup plain curd or Greek yogurt
2 soft dates seeds removed
¼ cup chilled water
4 to 5 ice cubes
¼ tsp cardamom powder
1 tsp chia seeds soaked optional
Chopped pistachios for garnish

Preparation Method
Add mango curd or yogurt dates water ice and cardamom into a blender
Blend until smooth and creamy for about 1 to 2 minutes
Taste and adjust sweetness by adding another date if needed
Mix in soaked chia seeds if using
Pour into glasses garnish with pistachios and serve chilled
